Take A Break In Our Bistro

Leisurely lunches are not often something we are able to enjoy due to our professional commitments but if there is ever a time to change that and take a break, it would be now at The Bistro. It’s a great time to get out of the office and go and relax in our newly refurbed, cosy, intimate Bistro and sample some autumnal delights off our new menu.

Our executive on site head chef mentored by Michelin starred professionals prepares our food daily and creates seasonal menus.  Fresh autumnal homemade & healthy food options are now available and are prepared on site daily and is sourced from local suppliers and producers.

Autumn should be a season that we cherish. The array of produce available to us from orchard fruits, root vegetables and meat, offers us the chance to indulge in some delicious and luscious foods before the long winter nights fully set in. Full-flavoured fruits such as plums, apples, pears, figs and blackberries are abundant during Autumn. The versatility of these fruits allows for equally delicious sweet and savoury dishes.

Try our homemade soups daily from celeriac and apple soup – the subtle flavour of celeriac with its nutty overtones allows the apple to bring a sweet note to this soup, ideal if you're calorie conscious but need an injection of warmth. Or carrot and coriander soup – The earthy, sweet carrot with the sharp, lemony, peppery coriander, produces a unique flavour partnership that will only leave you wanting more.

Try our vegan and vegetarian options from Goat’s cheese and fig tart – This dish showcases the natural marrying of two great ingredients. The tang of the cheese and the sweet, fruity flavour of the figs create a wonderful flavour combination.  Or try our pumpkin curry – The vibrant pumpkin is an all-rounder and is a great alternative for a vegetable curry option.  Although pumpkin is deemed bland, when combined with a curried based dish, the flavours elevate and become soulful.

Root vegetables, pumpkin, squash and cabbages are all nearing their prime and are the perfect go to for the warming comfort food you crave on a cold, blustery autumnal day. The kaleidoscopic colours of these autumnal vegetable’s oozes warmth and contentment.

If it's meat you are after - pork chops with pears – not a classic pairing, but the juice from the pears transforms this dish into a tender flavour explosion giving you the experience of pork at its best. Or Beef goulash, herb dumplings and parsnips – A symbol of central Europe, this dish boasts mass autumnal flavour, with fall-apart beef, rich herby dumplings and the complex aromas of the parsnip, this is definitely not one to miss.

And don’t forget dessert - apple and blackberry crumble – You cannot get more traditional than a crumble and with the sweet, crispy topping against the sharpness of the fruit filling, which you cannot avoid eating.

So, take a seat in The Bistro and sample all our treats throughout Autumn and treat yourself to the deep, dark coloured vegetables and juicy fruits rich in nutrients that will not only delight your senses but will also build your immunity and prepare you for the cold season ahead.
